Important Things To Know
Janaza

Though we try our best to have the janaza on the same day of death (or as soon as possible), this may not always be possible.

Janaza prayers are held at the centre at 11 am and immediately after Dhur (approx) 1:40 pm.
Note
On Fridays (due to Jumma prayers) logistically we can not accomodate janaza prayers after 11 am.
Ghusl

Ghusl is performed solely by ISNA. Up to 3 family members are allowed.

Ghusal timings are 9 am & 11 am on the day of the Janaza OR 6 pm the night before the Janaza
Cemeteries
Cemeteries are closed on Sunday and holidays. The cemetery has the right to refuse services, in case of any violations or the maximum is exceeded.

FAQs
At the time of death, please call the Janaza phone (1-855-452-6292).
The phone is answered from Fajr time to 11 pm each day. After hours, you can send us a text message to 647-689-6080. We will send you a link to fill out the form 15 that is required to start any burial process.
The process varies depending on where the death occurs. We have created a helpful questionnaire that will help guide you through the process.

Yes. You can pre-purchase graves based on the inventory directly from ISNA Canada. See the cost of the grave lots below and send us an email at to request a time to meet with our Funeral Coordinator.
\Yes we do. We have a team of certified psychotherapists employed by ISNA Cares that can provide free counselling to the family/care givers of the deceased.
This is great! ISNA Canada prides itself on the high level of service that is provided for Ghusuls. Experienced or new to Ghusuls, each volunteer needs to go through an annual training process in order to volunteer. This training is held in the fall of each year (Sept/Oct).
